A LEGACY BUILT IN COMMUNITY WORK
John Cofrancesco was a remarkable individual whose life was dedicated to serving others. As a father, husband, and elder care administrator, he embodied the values of compassion, dedication, and community service. His passion for empowering youth through sports was evident in his role as an assistant coach in Bergenfield Little League and Major League 14U division.
The John Cofrancesco Scholarship Award was established by The Brotherhood Dominoes Club (BDC) to honor his memory and recognize students who demonstrate academic excellence and exceptional leadership skills. This prestigious award continues his legacy of supporting young people in their educational journey.
BDC founder Victor Matos continues to honor John's legacy through this scholarship program, ensuring that his commitment to community, family, and brotherhood lives on. The program has already supported outstanding recipients including Jasmine Campos (2020), Ruth Malinay (2021), and Diego Santos (2022).
