BDC was given a chance to speak with the media regarding their community efforts, emphasizing how their actions are making a difference in the community, promoting the game, and strengthening our fundamental core values.
Our team introduced 6 new member to the already strong core that is BDC. These men are ready to serve our community while strengthening our mission and vision.
We are a non-profit organization interested in promoting the game of dominoes, and through that vehicle, impact our community, strengthen our family values while enhancing an environment of brotherhood and partnership.
A BDC initiative that intends to help the youth of our underdeveloped countries in Latin America and the Caribean Islands by providing them with sports equipment (used or new) that otherwise will be hard to obtain because of their economic conditions. We want to provide them with resources for them to achieve their dreams.Ā
In order to honor the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., BDC has been part of this amazing project known as the “MLK Day: Changing Bergenfield One Community Service at a Time” campaign. Put together by students from 3ā12 grades, we are impacting the world and building on his legacy.
In honor of their extraordinary contributions to the Bergenfield community, Cesar and Susy De la Rosa have been selected the Persons of the Year for 2022. This is a well-earned distinction for a couple who have been diligently trying to improve their community for everyone.
Recently, we have all seen those of Asian descent facing an increase in seriously disturbing violence and negative and hateful remarks. As we all know, such actions are detrimental to our communities and humanity in general. We must stand together to fight against racial injustice. We, BDC, would like to express our support to those experiencing any form of racism or rejection.
The Bergenfield Dominoes Club along with Columbia BankĀ and Greater Alliance Federal Credit Union are teaming up to make a positive impact on their communities. By partnering together, these two organizations hope to build lasting relationships and help improve the lives of those around them.
We will take care of each other. We firmly believe that our main strengths are found in our unity and our ability to protect each and every member. God and Family are at the forefront of all our efforts.
Last November, BDC held their 2022 annual 5K walk to raise funds in our fight against this disease that kills millions around the world. All proceeds went to St. Jude's Hospital and their incredible cause.
We are thrilled to announce Diego Santos as the recipient of the 2022 John Cofrancesco-BDC Scholarship award. As a senior at Bergenfield High School, Diego has demonstrated exceptional academic achievements and a strong commitment to community service, making him a deserving candidate for this prestigious award. The John Cofrancesco-BDC Scholarship award is a testament to our commitment to supporting local students and honoring individuals who have made a significant impact on their community.
